Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for the topping)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, combine the peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well until the peaches are evenly coated.
3️⃣ Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
4️⃣ In another bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
5️⃣ Pour the batter evenly over the peaches.
6️⃣ Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7️⃣ Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving.
8️⃣ Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
