- 1 heaping tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 lemon (juice & zest)
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup oil
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cast-iron skillet with 🧈 butter.
- In a bowl, toss 🍏 apple slices with 🍋 lemon juice, 🍯 honey, and 🌿 cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk 🥚 eggs, 🏺 oil, and sourdough discard until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix 🌾 flour, 🍰 baking powder, and 🧂 salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in half of the 🍏 apple mixture, then pour the batter into the skillet. Arrange the remaining apples on top.
