Can I use store-bought sourdough starter instead of discard in apple cake?

Yes! If you don’t have discard, you can use an active starter, but keep in mind the texture might be slightly different.

How do I store apple cake leftovers?

Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Warm it up in the oven for a fresh-baked feel!

Can I substitute honey with another sweetener?

Absolutely! You can use maple syrup or brown sugar, but the flavor profile will change slightly.

Can I make this gluten-free apple cake?

Yes! Substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free 1:1 flour blend for best results.
